As of now, some lucky fellows (*hint: Koreans*) are already enjoying the Closed Multiplayer beta already on the run. Because of this, Blizzard can clearly state a release date for the first game of the series focusing on the Terran campaign, Wings of Liberty. According to production director Chris Sigaty:
“We were targeting three to five months for the beta, we’re really at a three month period of time for the beta at this point. We are still targeting the first half of this year, so with that in mind, it really shortens the window of time with our major content patch coming out pretty close to the end whether it’s even worth it putting out the map editor at that point.”

I'm itching to get an invite
Good luck on that Blizz, I remember that you stated last ’07 that it will be out in ’08. Then in ’08 they said it will be out in 09, and so on. Well, I really don’t mind the long wait even though it’s more than a decade since the original game came out as long this game will deliver, and that’s the one thing Blizzard has perfected since Starcraft came out.
thing in Social Media, Facebook is now one of the top 10 most visited sites in the internet. With over 350 Million registered users and rising, its quickly becoming a way for good for nothing criminals to spread their evil intentions as it is very easy to hide one identity and trick people without getting caught.

Finally the long wait for the Multiplayer Beta is over. Gamers rejoice, Blizzard is handing out Multiplayer Closed Beta invites for one of the most anticipated game of the decade, Starcraft II. If you’re interested in participating, you need to sign up for a Battle.net account, opt in to participate in upcoming Blizzard Entertainment betas through Battle.net Account Management, and upload your system specifications using Blizzard’s quick system-snapshot software.
