Starcraft II – Blizzard “Still Targeting First Half”

February 28th, 2010

As of now, some lucky fellows (*hint: Koreans*) are already enjoying the Closed Multiplayer beta already on the run. Because of this, Blizzard can clearly state a release date for the first game of the series focusing on the Terran campaign, Wings of Liberty. According to production director Chris Sigaty:

“We were targeting three to five months for the beta, we’re really at a three month period of time for the beta at this point. We are still targeting the first half of this year, so with that in mind, it really shortens the window of time with our major content patch coming out pretty close to the end whether it’s even worth it putting out the map editor at that point.”

I'm itching to get an invite :D

Good luck on that Blizz, I remember that you stated last ’07 that it will be out in ’08. Then in ’08 they said it will be out in 09, and so on. Well, I really don’t mind the long wait even though it’s more than a decade since the original game came out as long this game will deliver, and that’s the one thing Blizzard has perfected since Starcraft came out.

Wisconsin Teen convicted for Facebook sex scam

February 26th, 2010

The newest big Facebook logothing in Social Media, Facebook is now one of the top 10 most visited sites in the internet. With over 350 Million registered users and rising, its quickly becoming a way for good for nothing criminals to spread their evil intentions as it is very easy to hide one identity and trick people without getting caught.

Much is the case of Anthony Stancl, a 19 year old teen from Wisconsin. Apparently, he posed as a cute little girl in Facebook tricking fellow male classmates to send him naked pics of themselves and then blackmailing them for sex.

Eventually, this pervert dude got hit back with Karma and got nailed by the police who found some hard evidence with his PC containing more than 300 naked photo of young boys and some as early as 15 years old. Sentenced to 15 years in prison, lets hope he enjoys his stay there with tons of fellow inmates who loves to have sex with the same gender.

Finally, NVIDIA’s GTX 400 has a launch date!

February 24th, 2010

After being quiet for a few months in the Graphics card scene NVIDIA finally announced its released date for its much anticipated Fermi based cards, the GTX 400 series. Two models will be unveiled at the Penny Arcade Expo EAST 2010 (PAX EAST 2010), the GTX 480 and GTX 470 on March 26, 2010 according to NVIDIA’s twitter.

I just hope all this hype is worth it with the GTX 400 series cards from NVIDIA considering “it is believed to be 400% faster than previous Nvidia chips in double-precision floating point operations.”

Sapphire Radeon HD 5850 Toxic Edition – Best performance and design

February 22nd, 2010

One of the most in demand card in the market today, it’s hard to find 5850′s in stores right now because of high demand couple that with no true competitor card from NVIDIA. Sapphire recently released a rather cool looking and of course higher performing version of the Radeon 5850 called Toxic Edition. I really liked it’s design though it’s a bit larger than most 5850′s right now. The difference with the Vapor-X version is a higher Core clock rate and will be targeted for the North American market. If your planning to buy a 5850 and got a few extra bucks to shed, I highly recommend to grab this cool looking beast from Sapphire.
