Looks like they Hype is on for the release of NVIDIA’s newest generation of Video Cards or GeForce 400 Series based on the Fermi Architecture. Nvidia has claimed that the GeForce 400 Series “will mark a milestone in the history of gaming” and is believed to be 400% faster than previous Nvidia chips in double-precision floating point operations. If this is true and retail cards with stable drivers can be benchmarked with ATI video cards, we will expect a huge performance advantage with the GeForce 470 and 480.

Here are some pics of Inno3D GTX 480 cards ready for shipping courtesy of VR-Zone forums.

Final Fantasy XIII is here 3.9.10

March 8th, 2010

Final Fantasy fans rejoice! Finally, the long wait is over, the thirteenth installment in the Final Fantasy series is out now for North America, Europe and Australia. For the first time, the main FF series (excluding FF spin-offs) wont be a Playstation exclusive, it will be available both for Xbox 360 and the PS3. The Active Time Battle (ATB) system will return, but it will work differently from its predecessors. Users will be able to chain large numbers of commands together in order to achieve attack bonuses. I for one is a fan of the old ATB system and will look forward on Square Enix’s effort to improve it in FF XIII. From initial reviews, the graphics are very breathtaking just like its predecessors, especially with the power of the current generation of consoles. I’m really looking forward playing this in Full HD with a PS3.

Final Fantasy XIII has very great reception, with an almost perfect scores in game reviews across the net. Famitsu rated the game at 39/40 while Gamespot gave the game 8.5 and 1up.com giving it an A-. Watch the review by Gamespot.com:
